What we collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, full name, and profile picture URL. We also store the answers you submit during a challenge, the time you took on each question, and the device-level connection events (joined / disconnected / rejoined) needed to make the live experience work.
Why we collect it
We use your name and profile picture so that the live leaderboard is real and accountable. We use your email so we (and only we) can contact you about your account if needed and, in the future, send you opt-in updates about new challenges. We use your responses and timing data to compute scores and leaderboards.
Where it lives
All data is stored in our Supabase Postgres database (hosted in AWS Mumbai region). We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. We do not run third-party analytics, ad pixels, or tracking scripts on this site.
How long we keep it
We retain your data until you ask us to delete your account. On deletion request we remove your profile, responses, and feedback. Aggregate, anonymous statistics (e.g. "average accuracy on Q14") may be retained.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, correction of any inaccuracies, or full deletion at any time by writing to teambeastchemist@gmail.com.
Children
BeastChemist Challenge is intended for JEE aspirants — typically 16+ years old. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
